About smallCRM

smallCRM is built by a solo developer who wanted a CRM small enough to actually use.

Why we built it

Existing CRMs are designed for enterprise sales teams: rich, configurable, expensive, and overwhelming for a 5-to-100 person business that just wants to track companies, deals, and support requests in one place.

smallCRM is the opposite. The Core product covers the four things every small business needs — companies, contacts, deals, tickets — and stops there. Anything extra is an optional module you turn on only if you actually need it.

How it's made

Laravel + Livewire + Postgres, deployed on a single Hetzner box in Falkenstein, Germany, with daily backups to a Hetzner Storage Box in the same region. EU-hosted, GDPR-compliant by default. No third-party tracking pixels.

Who's behind it

Axel Rafn is a solo developer based in Iceland. He's been using smallCRM in production for his own consulting work since the v1 rewrite and ships features the way he wishes other founders would — slowly, deliberately, and without ever shipping work that he doesn't believe in.
